Indoor Family Photos @ TGI Friday’s
After deciding you want family photos, the next logical question is, where? The best answer I can give as a family photographer based in Chambersburg, PA for almost a decade? A place that’s special to you and your family.
This can be as simple as your home, where you went on your first date, somewhere you like to visit often as a family, or the place you met like Morgan and Trevor.
These two met while she was working the bar at the TGI Fridays in Chambersburg, PA that no longer exists. Luckily, the Hagerstown, MD location was cool enough to let us come in and use their bar area on a Monday morning!
Revisiting the restaurant they first met with their sweet new addition, Crue, brought their story full-circle to the present day and I just can’t get enough of these family photos.
Crue was fascinated by all the funky lights in the space and I gotta say, I don’t blame him. They were pretty awesome!
Styling your family photos
When picking outfits, consider the colors of your location. I love that Morgan, Trevor, and, Crue went with light colors that make them pop against the scenery!

What time of day is better for your family?
The best advice I can give for photos with little ones is to plan them for shortly after they wake up from nap time or at least 2 hours before their nap and after they have been fed. This ensures the happiest baby possible and prevents meltdowns during photos. Bringing their favorite snacks and toys for extra support and encouragement is always a good idea!
Indoors or outdoors?
Why not both? Even during a 30-minute photo session we still have plenty of time for a variety of locations!
